Creamy Cilantro Dressing

Summer is practically here, special in Utah. Salads are more and more making their way into our daily meals. A good dressing makes even the most picky eater accept salads and vegetables. Try this Creamy Cilantro Dressing. Save it in a small mason jar. It will last 7 days, but it will be gone before that. 


1/2 Cup mayo
1/2 Cup sour cream
1/2 Cup water
1 small bunch of cilantro, remove stems
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp cumin
1 lime, Juice and zest
1 small jalapeƱo, no seeds


Add all the ingredients into the cup of your blender.
Blend until ready.
Yields approximately 2 cups.

Beyond this Dressing:

If you would like to make this dressing "Creamy Cumin and Cilantro Dressing", is very easy but a notch more of work. Just Toast about 1 tsp of Cumin Seeds and grind them. Heat 1 Tblsp of oil and mix with the Cumin, when cold add to your already made dressing, give it one last blend !!!

If not fun of cilantro, please change it with parsley. it will be delicious.

Dressings are best prepared at least 1 day ahead, to allow the flavors to blend together.
Reduce the water if you would like a heavier dressing, i like mine thinner because it coats my salad better. Also is good to know that even so it might look thinner today, the next day will get thicker, have that in mind.
