How to use Corn Starch
Corn Starch is widely used to thickened food preparations. The amount to use will depend on the amount of liquid that you are thickening and also the desire thickness that you want to achieve.
Before adding Corn Starch always dilute in water, 1 heaping tsp of corn starch will dilute nicely in about 1 Tblsp of water. Mix well and incorporate to boiling mixture while stirring constantly.
Another good thing to know, is that if you are in a Gluten Free diet, Corn Starch will help you replace the Flour, not in all recipes, but in recipes where Flour is used as a thickening agent. A good Example of this is Alfredo Sauce.
